August Briggs Winery is a family-owned winery in Napa Valley dedicated to producing very limited quantities of great wines from carefully selected vineyards across California’s North Coast counties. Jeff Gordon Collection Wine is produced here by owner/winemaker Joe Briggs.
Joe believes that given great vineyard sources to work with, he can create wines that are well-balanced and delicious at a young age with great fruit character, but that are also serious enough to age with grace. Beginning with top quality grapes from their vineyard partners, Joe gently extracts optimum flavor for the wine without losing their delicate balance. Realizing that people drink wines at a variety of occasions, Joe styles the wines to work well with flavorful foods as well as on their own.
Joe and his wife Sally welcome you to their winery home in Calistoga. If you find yourself in wine country, visit them at 333 Silverado Trail, on the south end of town. Normal public hours are 10:30 am-4:30 pm daily. Please note that by law, August Briggs Winery is not able to pour Jeff Gordon Collection wines in their tasting room or sell them on site.
